On Sunday (19/6/2016), XL Future Leaders Makassar Batch 3 Students held a social act named ‘Ramadhan Act’, in collaboration with Keluarga Mahasiswa Kota Palu (KMKP) and Worldwide Language Community of Engineering 09 Senat Mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Universitas Hasanuddin (Welcome). Together we visited Yayasan Pembinaan Tuna Netra (YAPTI) Makassar, located in Jl. Pierre Tandean for Buka Puasa Bersama event with 40 difable students.

During our visit, we held Quran reading (in Braille) and adzan competition, participated by 20 YAPTI students. What touched us the most was their highly-enthusiasm and effort to do their best in every activities. Even they did not do very well in reading Braille Quran, and halted sometimes, they pushed themselves to do their best even though committee unstated what would be the present for the winner. I did not trump this up, but the beauty of their voice amazed the audience. Applause and compliment echoed everywhere.

We also held quiz activity by asking some questions to the students and those who could answer the question will receive a gift. Without any hesitation, they raise their hand and answer it with smile.

The event was closed with donation overhanding, photo session and fast-breaking. It was very interesting, for me personally, to witness such an amazing spirit of those difable students. We truly inspired by them in a way not surrender of any physical condition they had, be persistence and self-reliance, as well as to always  be grateful. For me, they are incredibly awesome!
