On May 2^nd each year, all Indonesians commemorate National Education Day. On this very day, the whole nation usually show their part to contribute towards the betterment of the society. Schools, universities, and other education entities have their own unique way to inspire. This year, XL Axiata invites some friends and partners to celebrate this important day. We also launched a new program under XL Future Leaders. This is another effort initiated by XL Axiata to proof its commitment to advance the youth capabilities in Indonesia.

Bapak Eka B. Danuwirana, XL Axiata’s Chief of Corporate Affairs Officer opened the session by sharing his insights about education. He highlighted that education, as well as mastering technology in the digital era could help one to accelerate their position.  Ibu Anita Avianty, Senior Manager Communication Services continued the session by providing comprehensive information about XL Axiata’s long-term commitment on education. “We have 6 different programs focused on youth, online and offline, that have earned acknowledgement nationally and internationally. We choose to invest in people,” Anita said.

The event was concluded with Bapak Eka officially launched Digital Leaders Competition 2016 by tweeting the information about the competition. This brand new competition is launched after XL Axiata seeing more impact and creating shared value. Digital Leaders Competition 2016 focuses on smart city development. Bapak Tanto Surioto, VP of Digital Business Accelerator mentioned that this competition will open up more opportunities both for university students and city administration office to collaborate further.

This event was a huge success as it raised a lot of positive attention from the audience. Once again, XL Axiata through its XL Future Leaders program would like to say happy national education day!
