Achmad Pradipta grew up in Medan, North Sumatera, and Jakarta (where he works now). But Bekasi is the place he has chosen for his little family; a beautiful wife and a cute son.
Dipta, as we usually call him, studied Marketing & Commerce at Curtin University of Australia in Perth. He has spent four years working and managing this XL Future Leaders Program (one of the leading CSR programs in Indonesia focusing on soft skills training for college students), a little while after the initiation, and has managed to bring this program beyond better. This success earned mostly because his liking to work with youth whom he can support and guide to be able to step up closer to their dreams.
He is an enthusiastic supporter for these young and energetic youth, keep them challenged and motivated by designed and challenging activities taking them beyond what they have learned. Many of his ideas proactively address details before they become problems. He uses his experience to support them foresee things better. This is the part where he can act like a professional yet behave like an educator. As he wishes someday he can become one real ‘teacher’.
Cycling is one of his many hobbies in sport besides basketball, football, tennis and swimming. Once, this hobby took its toll when he got lost and left out from his cycling group because of tiredness. That made everybody got additional headache. He loves cycling at Senayan during Car Free Day, Ancol Eco Park, and Sentul.
Dipta is a handsome man with many gentle wishes. One of his unique wish is to initiate and do many things benefiting his surroundings. He wants to be known as a person with multiple skills, while so many of us want to be known as a specialist of one or two. Part of the reason is that he can keep himself challenged to learn something different and be good at it. In this way, he assures himself to walk on his path and climb the ladder up. If he needs to make a sharp turn anytime he wants, then he is ready, even if he has to stumble and fall.
In his free ‘us-sporty’ time, he likes playing World of Warcraft, a game online. He continuously challenges himself like building trust by getting to know people from around the world whom he never meets to work as a team, making a strategy, solving tasks, questing together to face their common enemies. His favourite character is Healers Palladin. Some of the strategies have been duplicated to his day to day work. Nice try!
Dipta epitomizes hope, energy, hard work, and creative service of the program. He can closely work with his team and the students as well. His exceptionally work covers a lot to handle, more than the CSR activity itself like its brand, market, PR, HR, curriculum development, and extracurricular activities.
Four words you can remember about Achmad Pradipta; love, commitment, passion, and fun!
